Indian Valley Library

The program of study for the library was created to enhance student learning through the inquiry-based learning approach. The students will be making connections and applying academic skills taught in the classroom setting to projects and activities completed during library instruction.

The main goals of the library program are to make reading enjoyable and to encourage students to research and develop solutions to problems. They will discover the answers to their questions through the use of texts and online digital resources. To present their new knowledge, students will use current educational technologies.

Parents/Guardians, please help your child to remember to bring his or her book back to the school and to help keep the book in the condition in which it was received.  Most importantly, I ask that you sit down with your child and either listen to him or her read to you, or you read to your child.  This would contribute greatly to your child’s development of reading skills.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school and ask for Kevin Loht, the Library-Media Specialist.
